Summary

Lab-made THC analogs and converted CBD products are flooding the market, disrupting the body’s natural Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and shutting down the production and flow of vital compounds like Anandamide and 2-AG. Unlike natural THC or CBGa from the cannabis plant, these conversions lack safety studies and the synergy of whole-plant compounds.

The Hidden Threat to Your ECS: Lab-Made THC Analogs, Converted CBD

When people hear about THC these days, a lot of what they’re getting isn’t the good old plant-born cannabinoid that nature intended. Instead, we’re looking at a tidal wave of lab-made THC analogs — molecules that are just close enough to the real thing to light you up but are far different in how they interact with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). And trust me — the impact on your ECS Balance is bigger than most realize.

I come from the old school, where we love the true Killer Green Buds, the sticky icky. We used to scissor-cut our weed, sit in groups together and talk it up while we chopped it up, and then smoke together in ‘proper rotation’—that’s right, you had to take a hit and pass it. These gatherings are where the saying ‘puff puff pass’ comes from.

It does not come from taking hits from converted CBD turned into various types of THC in vape carts; there’s no community or culture in this, nor is there any love for the plant as nobody is chopping up the D8 weed, nobody is breaking out real THCP as that stuff was just discovered a handful of years ago. We’re not lab rats; we’re people who want nature.

How THC Analogs Crash Your Endocannabinoid Flow

Your ECS runs on a delicate rhythm, producing natural cannabinoids like Anandamide and 2-AG. It doesn’t just need cannabinoids at the receptors — it needs them floating through your system, constantly made and circulated.

When you hit hard on vape pens packed with things like THCP, THC-O, Delta-8, Delta-9, Delta-10, CBDP, THCV, and often it’s even converted to CBN plus a growing list of syntheticsespecially those converted from industrial hemp — you’re not just getting high so think twice about these.

You’re shutting down your internal cannabinoid production and clogging up the highways where endocannabinoids normally circulate. What does this do for your health? Most researchers cannot find anything good unless the mission behind the research is pushing lab conversions instead of investigation and discovery.

You’re breaking the natural flow that keeps your body in balance by using these semi synthetic lab created cannabinoids, it’s not like using THC from a plant.

It’s like pouring glue into a perfectly tuned engine when you’ve got field after field of naturally burning fuel ready for you to use – but it won’t get you high so you’re going after CBD Conversions? There’s no ‘stoner’ in that statement – that’s someone chasing a high like any drug user does. A ‘Stoner’ looks for big Fat Nugs and searches for someone to burn with; if nobody is around, we smoke that plant on our own.

Why Converted Hemp THC is Different from the Plant’s Natural THC

The real-deal THC from cannabis (Delta-9-THC straight from the flower) comes packaged with a whole suite of terpenes, minor cannabinoids, and plant compounds that work together to nourish the ECS.

Converted products—CBD turned into Delta-8, 9, Delta-10, or even stronger analogs—lack that symphony. And without the sound of wonderful nature that includes flavones, terpenes, and various cannabinoids that come with the plant? All we’re getting is one hard CB1 receptor plunge, hard enough to break the pipes on the ECS plumbing and cause the need for a Balancing Machine to come in.

It reminds me of a clogged commode, which is so cheap and easy to create with a big load of crap! However, depending on how badly you’ve destroyed the system that allows things to ‘naturally flow,’ it can cost thousands of dollars!

I don’t believe in putting something down to lift something, but the Dream Farm is so beautiful that it’s naturally lifted by helping our high with nature. One of the reasons is that the entire team is against using isolated, distilled, manipulated, or other cannabinoids that often get rushed through labs – and all to make a fast buck—almost all of the THC analogs out there are without real safety testing.

I collaborated with the late Professor Raphael Mechoulam on these creations he patented in the 1960s and why he never launched them as medicines. This isn’t difficult to process. Sixty years later, there was obviously a bold and distinct reason why the very man who created and patented CBD conversions never used them.

Lack of Human Safety Studies plagues the CBD Conversions

“The FDA must approve a lab-created cannabinoid; it must go through safety studies; these have not,” was his email statement as we went back and forth. The only lab conversion we could find with a bonafide safety study was HHC by Colorado Chromatography.

With Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC converted from THC, John Hopkins has done successful clinical trials; keep in mind these are pharmaceutical-grade creations not made in a cannabis extract lab. It’s far different from NIH grant funding and an FDA-approved lab.

Could pharmaceutical synthetics be safer?

The cannabis community that’s grown to fear and bear hatred towards ‘Big Pharma’ should realize that hemp converters are far more dangerous – you get no warning labels and are on your own 100% if things go wrong.

No matter how clean the lab is, you can’t replicate the plant’s natural balance by twisting molecules around. And without that natural synergy, your ECS takes the hit — hard.

We know that pharmaceutical companies have created cannabinoids in labs. As a deep-in-the-street researcher, I know that some of them are very stable and don’t get created in quick ways with scary lab chemicals like acetates. They have not converted isolates that were already heavily processed.

If it sounds like I favor them over what is converted in droves by the Hemp Industry without first trying to kill a mouse? I do. Any researcher worth a grain of sand would look at the safety of any cannabinoid concoction before releasing it to the general public, but I can’t lay blame on the retailers that seriously didn’t know better and bought – and keep buying – these hemp lab converted cannabinoids.

Who do we blame, other than ourselves for not looking further into what we put into our bodies? With lack of firm regulations – the continued conversions will dominate markets that don’t have legal programs for people to grow their own THC plants, or get the extracts at dispensaries.

My strong message?

Be true to the plant that this industry is built on, not true to acetates and other chemicals for converting it into what the plant does not grow at high percentages, or even much at all. Ultimately it’s up to the consumer to buy what they want, but shouldn’t there be an obligation of informed consent? Most using alternatives to what the doctor gives out are fed up about the lack of it in Healthcare – so why would we want it in plant care?

Professor Raphael Mechoulam

If we’re going to use ‘natural medicine,’ then let’s stay true to the plant. Let’s use what grew on the hemp farm in the extracts—in the bottle—let’s not create one isolated cannabinoid and start converting away when it no longer sells. The truth is CBD Isolate was once 6,000 a kilo on the market and now sells for 300.00. Converting it allows entities to make 3x to 10x more.

So is it done for your health? NO. Is it done for a company’s financial health or a corporation in an industry? YES. There’s no difference between this and fillers or other non-real items in the grocery store created for monetary gain with no care for consumers in mind.

Even the Healthiest Lifestyle Can’t Save You from ECS Shutdown

You could be eating clean, lifting weights, meditating, running marathons — but if you’re constantly flooding your ECS with unstable analogs, you’re tying one hand behind your back. No amount of diet and exercise can fully counteract what happens when the very system that controls balance, stress response, mood, and inflammation gets jammed up at the source.

And worst of all?

Once your endocannabinoid production drops off, it’s harder to get it back online. You lose the natural ability to control your balance — and that’s when real health issues creep in.

Real Cannabis, Real Balance — and Why CBGA Matters

The abilities of the mother major cannabinoid are why I’m so passionate about CBGA, the mother cannabinoid that enhances authentic Endocannabinoid Balance. She creates THCA, CBCA, and CBDa in the plant and is responsible for over 100 other cannabinoids.

We’re not talking about horsepower in an old-school Chevy, but it sounds like it. We’re talking about the sheer powerband behind the plant, its precursor cannabinoid, and how she makes all of our motors run.

CBGA helps your body produce and push your endocannabinoids to the receptors, as nature intended. It’s the ultimate support for getting your internal pharmacy working right.

When we stick to natural cannabinoids and honor the plant as designed, we feed the ECS instead of frying it. With both Genevieve’s Dream and Researcher brands, we focus on real plant science, not lab tricks.

Protect your ECS. Feed it right. Because balance isn’t just a buzzword — it’s everything.
