Cannabis oils have long been part of the healing world for thousands of years, but they’ve exploded into the spotlight in the past decade. When I first started mixing up extracts for myself and my daughter Genevieve—my little warrior—it wasn’t about brands or fancy labels. It was just about survival. We used what we could make: thick, potent oils straight from the plant.

Today, the world knows these oils as RSO or FECO — Full Extract Cannabis Oil — but to us, they were simply lifesaving medicine. Over the years, our approach has evolved. It’s not just about blasting the body with THC anymore. We’ve learned that real healing comes from something bigger: ECS Balance.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is the master control center for our health, and if it’s out of tune, everything feels off. You can’t just lean on one cannabinoid like THC and expect harmony — you need a full orchestra. That’s where the beauty of other cannabinoids steps in, especially CBGa — the Mother Cannabinoid.

CBGa is like the coach of the ECS team. It doesn’t just hang around waiting for action. It steps up, helps your body create its endocannabinoids, pushes cannabinoids toward receptors, and even encourages the production of rare amino acids we desperately need for full-body wellness. It’s not just another cannabinoid; it’s the original key to unlocking deep ECS Balance — the balance that saves lives and enhances living.

While THC is still part of our rescue plan — helping to slow down Genevieve’s central nervous system quickly when seizures threaten — we don’t let it dominate the scene. It’s one tool in a bigger, smarter toolbox. We’ve learned that when you use cannabinoids like CBD, CBC, and especially CBGa alongside THC, the results are way better. The system feels smoother, more stable, and more naturally in tune.

Another big lesson we’ve learned is that it’s not always about how much you take but how well your body can absorb it. Thick extracts like RSO or FECO work way better when broken down properly. I mix hempseed in for proteins and better bioavailability in brands. It’s simple chemistry: better absorption, better results, better life. What you take matters, but what your body can use matters even more.

That’s why Genevieve and I don’t just rely on oral oils. We both have a gluten-free diet with many functional foods that aid our ECS and endocannabinoids. We also take terpene baths. We bathe in plant medicine daily, giving our ECS constant support from the outside. It’s not about chasing a high—it’s about creating a steady foundation of health, day after day, drop by drop.

After a 12-hour workday like today, I can feel my system telling me it’s time to slow down and let nature do what it does for me: relax. Our Endocannabinoid System downregulates when we fall asleep, but it can take a while for many, so people prefer to use extracts like our ‘Relax’ to help that process a bit.

I love nature to do that for me, which is one reason I formulate things like Sunshine in Genevieve’s Dream collection. I like to wake up with a zing, and CBGa, CBG, and CBD in the proper extract that preserves terpenes and flavonoids and includes hemp proteins do precisely that!

Genevieve usually crashes out quicker from our evening blends but wakes up sooner. I take a little longer to fall asleep but sink into more profound rest. That’s the beauty of working with cannabis for healing—every ECS is unique, and the only universal rule is to listen to your body.

As Genevieve ages into adulthood, we’ve found a rhythm that works for now. But like everything in life, it’s fluid. Our needs change, and our cannabinoid blends shift with them. What never changes is our mission: Stay alive, stay thriving, and keep various issues we have at bay.

Genevieve's Dream

There’s no one-size-fits-all dosage guide for cannabis oils—no magic number that guarantees success. Healing through cannabinoids is personal. It’s about paying attention, responding to the moment, and building your body’s natural ability to stay in balance. It’s about giving the ECS the necessary tools, with CBGa at the front of the pack, to help guide that balance into real, lasting wellness.

Cannabis isn’t just saving us anymore.

It teaches us how to live smarter, love more profoundly, and heal.

It reminds us that health isn’t a destination—it’s a dance. With CBGa leading the way, we’re moving to the rhythm of life itself.

Thanks for following our journey. Stay lifted and balanced, and keep reading Researcher OG articles on Genevieve’s Dream website!

Cannabis truly is love.
