My journey with Genevieve didn’t begin with a business plan or a product pitch. It started with alignment—cosmic, emotional, spiritual. I was a cannabis compassion provider, traveling while battling my health battles and delivering oils to people in need. Somewhere along the way of bringing oils to so many people, it’s hard to count and in too many places to list, fate brought us together in 2016.
Her mom and I slowly got to know each other, and before long, at 13, she began calling me “Daddy.”
And in that word, everything shifted. That’s when the mission became something much more profound.
Genevieve is nearly 22 now—a beautiful soul with developmental delays and the kind of magic that can’t be described in words. Her biological father passed away from the opioid epidemic when she was just a child. That loss, and the one I carried in my own story, wove us together in a way that made sense only in the heart.
She became my daughter. I became her Daddy, as she named me, and she’ll call out for me verbally dozens of times a day – or hour! And our love became a blueprint for something much bigger than anyone.
In 2017, I found myself on the Carousel in a Santa Barbara park with Genevieve. Our bond grew, and Mama watched as Genevieve and I had a blast. I can’t say that I’ve been a carousel lover in my past or ever rode them much. But this ride she’d been going on since childhood brought her this unfiltered joy that I’ll never forget. Her whole world lit up on that ride, and she had this smile that I now only see when a Carousel comes to town, or we can take her to one – which isn’t often – we hope for more ride trips soon.
Mom captured that day in a few photos and shared them online, and I realized that it was more than just a fun day—it was a moment. We had more and more of those that year, and on that ride, Genevieve became so much more than my daughter; she became a reason I’d made decisions that would forever change the roadway of my life – including quitting opioids after 24 years of pharmaceutical use and addiction.
Since then, she’s never stopped asking about it, begging to go back, and demanding to see the space that once held her Dream. We’ve been taking her on trips for over seven years to look at an empty building, and she still will wake up in Carousel Dreams wanting her ride.
She even verbalizes this, saying “My Ride” and is nonverbal and severely autistic. That Carousel became a symbol for all she loved—and all that had been taken away.
So I created a website called “Carousel Challenge,” figuring I’d get people in the Cannabis Community and Hemp and Cannabis Industries to go for rides and bring attention to a nonprofit I created with the same name. Two years later, the nonprofit had to be dissolved after the city showed no interest in replacing the Carousel, and the pandemic shuttered all plans regardless of the people’s will. I was trying to create the whole scene – a farm and soil to oil brand under Genevieve’s Dream Inc. – also dissolved in early 2022 for the same reasons.
What started as a plan to buy back that joy with a carousel under the Genevieve’s Dream brand has now transformed into something more powerful: the Dream Fund. 10% of all sales from Genevieve’s Dream CBGa products go directly into that fund, which is managed by one of her Conservators to support her lifetime needs. Whether it’s behavioral therapy, a specialist visit, private-pay support, or a tool that insurance refuses to cover—it’s there.
And yeah, I’m still working on the Carousel. That part’s on me. So is the land and the house it’ll sit on. She deserves something permanent—not just a ride, but a legacy. I talked to her about it while on the Carousel, and someday, she’d love a ride in her backyard that’s bigger than the one she has – it’s only a three seater for little kids.

When it’s out of balance, everything in life gets more challenging. Genevieve’s Dream plan has been tested by years of stress, frustration, and system delays—just like yours, mine, and most of the world’s right now.
That’s why I created Sunshine Dosing and ECS-focused formulations: to support the ECS throughout the day using blends that keep us focused, help the body regulate naturally, and reduce the constant demand on our endocannabinoids. And while everyone’s talking about THC tolerance breaks, we’re offering another route—one rooted in balance, not restriction. Because when your ECS is balanced, the plant works better. You work better.
Like the plant Genevieve and this whole house uses, she’s marginalized and minimized. Genevieve is often put at the end of waitlists, denied life-changing care because of bureaucratic red tape, or left to navigate a system that’s designed to fail her. We see that, and we’ve built our life around changing it.
Genevieve’s little big sister, Sydney also loves the Dream, she’s nearly 15 now. A few years back, she lost her father after a tough battle with cancer. Since then, she’s grown into one of Genevieve’s greatest helpers—patient, kind, and always showing up with love. And to me, she’s more than just family—she’s one of my best friends.
We want to change things with Genevieve’s Dream, and with the Researcher bringing forward reasons why we all need to live healthier and happier lives. Better yet, how we can prevent chaos in our bodies through our Endocannabinoid System and how to unlock the mysteries of keeping it happy – that is what I’m here to do for you.
And that’s what this industry is truly all about: getting your hands dirty. It’s about real work, deep love, and a refusal to let the world ignore people like Genevieve any longer. That’s where the Researcher steps in to back up her Dream.
So yes, I’m still in this office every day—formulating, writing, building, pushing forward. Not for profit. Not for clout. But because two girls—both of whom lost their first dads—now count on me to create something solid. A legacy that keeps them safe, cared for, and surrounded by joy.
Genevieve’s Dream isn’t just a brand. It’s a promise.
And that’s what fuels me every single day.
